What a fantastic 2022 Chinese New Year Gala we enjoyed last night! The peak viewership reached 194 households, with a surprising 20 percent of the audience coming from outside Tennessee and 11 percent from outside the U.S.
I want to thank everyone involved in this year’s Gala: to GNCA’s all-volunteer team* for their resilience and professionalism in planning, coordinating, and executing the event; to all of the performers for the passion and talent on display in their performances; and last but not least, to all of you in our community who came out to watch the Gala. Your support motivates us, energizes us, and guides us to serve our community better.
Two things to look out for tomorrow (Monday, January 31) as you get ready for the official New Year:
- GNCA was interviewed by NewsChannel 5 about Chinese New Year and our celebrations here in Middle Tennessee. The segment is expected to air during their morning shows.
- We have worked with the Mayor’s office to have the Korean Veterans Memorial Bridge lit up in red and gold for the Lunar New Year.
The full Gala recordings are on the GNCA YouTube channel; see below for links.
Happy Year of the Tiger!
